Afternoon, it's Clarissa..as usual giving you another concert update.
This time it's a two for one deal. Since we were busy attending two really amazing concerts.

Ludo - Highline Ballroom 2/19/09
We arrived at a decent time, and got an awesome spot. This time we were accompanied by one of our good college friend who happens to really like Ludo. This was one of the first time we were familiar and listened to all the bands on the lineup. The opening band that night was PA favorite The Morning Light. We had seen them last summer when they had played with The Cab. Of course, they were amazing live as usual and everyone should definitely check them out.
After them was This Providence who I was extremely excited to see play. They didn't disappoint at all. I recommend them too also look into their new CD dropping 'Who Are You Now?'. They played a few songs of that album and off of their self titled album. I don't remember the entire set list but it was really good.
Sing It Loud took the stage after This Providence and I must say these boys don't play around. They rock hard and were just full of energy which really helps you get into the music. They played all my person favorites and a few I hadn't heard off their new album 'Come Around'. These guys are the bomb like tick tick don't sleep on them.
Finally, we get the grand finale which is Ludo who we had to wait awhile for but were awesome nonetheless. We only got to hear a few songs from these guys because we had to leave early. But they were amazing and we almost got into an awesome little brawl right in front of the stage. Long story, but no one was hurt and I made it back to Jersey with all limbs intact.
All in all, GREAT NIGHT!

Name Drop: The Morning Light, This Providence, Sing It Loud, Ludo

Song of The Day: Sand In Your Shoes (Acoustic)

Actions That Will Get You Your Ass Kicked At A Show: Unnecessary Drunk Violence...

Daily Advice: Arrive early to get a spot in the front

Parting Lyric: 'When your only eighteen and you got nothing to lose and your living a dream with sand in your shoes. Falling in love is easy, it's easy to do'

Stay Tuned for our review of the Butch Walker show and some other things

But, that's a whole nother blog for a whole nother time.
This early morning, I come to you guys with a whole new band on a whole new week.
We saw these guys in concert a few weeks ago and it was an awesome live show.

These adorable boys from Minnesota (minus 2) first raged through my airwaves after seeing and hearing much buzz about them a few months back. I got ahold of Best Beating Heart and Bite Your Lip one way or another and just started jamming to them.
Their postively addictive and seriously once you start listening you won't be able to stop. However, you might already know that since they have a new video out for their song 'No One Can Touch Us'.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pv0Z1RMpmv4 (VIDEO HERE!)

The song is cute and you can't deny that it doesn't tug at your heart strings. Well, just don't stop there folks go grab their new album 'Come Around'. You won't regret it, these guys are worth listening to.

Stalk em here: www.myspace.com/singitloud

Favorite songs: Bite Your Lip, Best Beating Heart, No One Can Touch Us, Come Around, Maybe I'm A Ghost

Favorite lyric: I know this is it how did I get here for seven years they watched me drown

Currently, their touring with The Friday Night Boys, The Morning Light, The Summer Set, and Artist vs Poet on the Guys Guys Guys Tour.
Hey guys, it's Casi.
I know I'm not usually the one who does the blogs on here, and this is my first one, so be nice!
Last night we were fortunate enough to be able to attend the Automatic Loveletter show at Highline Ballroom in New York. The main band we were there to see was The Friday Night Boys, but I've gotta say, I reccommend everyone, right now, go out and listen to Kids Of Survival and The Lives of Famous Men. These bands were absolutely amazing, and I am so happy that we got the chance to see them.
Anyways, back to the show. It was absolutely amazing. Clarissa and I were front row, dancing and singing our little hearts out (Andrew From The Friday Night Boys later told us that he saw us dancing. We were a little embarrassed.) After the Friday Night Boys played we went back and chilled with The Friday Night Boys' merch guy, Stephen, who was probably one of the coolest dudes I've ever met. (He's also in a band, everyone go check it out. It's named Time Tells All.) We had an awesome time talking with Andrew and Chris from FNB, as well as Stephen, but unfortunately we had to leave at 10 to 11 cause these two Jersey gals had to make the bus, otherwise we would have been stranded in the city (which I really wouldn't have minded, but I had class the next day. Bummer.) Pictures from the show are in our "Concerts" album, all the way at the end, so feel free to check them out.
Aside from all the band guys (and merch people) that we met last night, we also met this incredibly awesome girl, Hanna. I think it's safe to say we'll be good friends for a LONG time

Name Drop (AKA go listen to these bands NOW!): The Friday Night Boys, Kids Of Survival, The Lives of Famous Men, and Time Tells All

Song Of The Day: "Chasing A Rockstar"

Merch Guy's Words of Wisdom: "You either have herpes or you don't. You can't almost have herpes. It's either all the way or not at all."

Daily Advice: Don't make bets that could cause you to have to play on stage without your pants.

Parting Lyric: "So Highschool all over again, girls trick boys into thinking they like them. I guess grauduating changes nothing at all."

Make sure you check back next week to see the recap on our next show with Ludo, This Providence, The Morning Light, and Sing It Loud!
later kids.
<3 Casi Magz

Afternoon guys,
Once it's again it's me bringing me that new or old piece of art that's been on my mind for the entire week. I must say I was conflicted as hell at who to put up on this thing this week. But then the co founder of this flighty little company gave me her Christmas gifts. Music wise I got two CDs: When The World Comes Down and Almost Here. I was excited for both but I can only write about one band or CD.
So I thought about it, and thought about it, and thought about it. Finally, I came up with what I wanted to do. I should have written about these guys a long time ago. But whatever, this week's SHOOTING STAR OF THE WEEK is...

The Academy Is...

If you haven't heard about these guys then pull your seat up close to the computer and read. TAI (for short) back when it was just TA (The Academy) were five guys from Chicago out to make some pretty rad music. Well, cue some changes, a butcher from Milwaukee and an IS to the tittle. And we get the first popular version and first album from The Academy Is.

First song, I ever listened to from these dudes was Attention from the first album Almost Here. Literally, it had like a hundred hits on my Zen and I couldn't get through the day without listening to it. So I played out that one song. Cue my birthday and I recieved Santi.

The second TAI album after some more changes. I loved that CD. This was my first real interaction with the band musically and I enjoyed it immensely. Out of all the CDs I got that year that one stuck with me the most. Who doesn't love songs about plane rides, accidents, and breakups.

Now interested, I took a look back and listened to a few songs from Almost Here. I listened to Checkmarks, Slow Down, The Phrase That Pays, and Down and Out. Until this day Down and Out will remain my favorite songs ever from this band. Listen to it, it's infectious. But I'm no expert on TAI so I'll let you choose your favorite song. A few years skip to this past year, their latest album Fast Times At Barrington High escapes onto the music scene.

A compilation of all your high school angst and emotions into one CD. It's alot to take in but it definitely takes you back to those days. Even if that was a year ago or you'll still in high school...whatever. All three albums have amazing songs. Your bound to find something that will resonate deep in your soul like it was written for you. Trust me, it was.

Lyrically, you'll get smashed in the face with something you like and most likely tattoo it on your body. Hold your head high heavy heart is one of the more popular pieces. Anyways, I'm only here to advise you to get your feet wet. But hopefully you'll jump and submerge yourself in some well written music.

Interested? Their the first band on our Top Friend list.

Addicted? Their doing a Hot Topic store tour thing with The Cab. Indulge yourself if their near you.

Favorite Songs: 40 Steps, Attention, Down and Out, Neighbors, The Test, Rumored Nights, Winter Passing, The Phrase That Pays, Sleeping With Giants, Checkmarks, Black Mamba, Automatic Eyes, After The Last Midtown Show

Santi.

- Clarissa

Hidihoe boys and girls,

The new year is here and I must say it smells brand spankin new. I'm definitely excited for all the upcoming shows, events, and UDS madness that will be going on. My new year's resolution is to get UnDiscovered Stars to the world. Meanwhile, I will be doing our weekly (or if I'm lazy monthly) Shooting Star of the Week here.

This week, I got a bunch of new CDs but listened to this one and immediately loved it.

I have loved Jason Mraz's music for a loooonnnnnng time now. So I was estatic when I heard that he was making a new album. This album is beautiful which is the first word that comes to mind when I listen to it. Now, I know everyone knows the single 'I'm Yours' but dudes listen to the album. I've got a couple favorite songs from this CD after one listen through. Now this CD is definitely something different from the others he has previously put out. You'll love it and on my iTunes it's definitely different that what has been raging through my headphones. It's nice break from the mainstream. A walk in the park after running through for so long.
Even though my favorite album will always be Mr.A-Z because I was addicted to that CD. Come on, listen to Plane once and tell me you don't want to marry that song. Jason Mraz will always be an awesome songwriter and musician in my book. If he is in yours too thats cool. If not, I still love you and we will come together on something else.
I won't do my little bio this time because really who cares where he's from or how old he is. If you do check out Wikipedia.
All I care about is that he will keep writing songs that make my style of writing lool like crap.

Previous Albums: Waiting For My Rocket To Come, Mr. A-Z

Favorite Songs: Coyote, Butterfly, Details In The Fabric, Only Human, A Beautiful Mess, Lucky, and I'm Yours
Merry Christmas folks

It's been a while..

The year is almost over and I have to say it's been pretty damn gracious. The summer was rad, the fall was amazing, and the winter was fun. At the moment all of us over her at UDS are breaking our little necks to sells some shirts. That would definitely be a merry christmas if we could sell a few more just so we could make a few more. But anywho, I'm on here wishing anyone who is online or will be online later a Merry Christmas. I'm currently hanging out in my room, decorating my UDS desk, and listening to the new Butch Walker album I got myself for Christmas. It's scrumtious.

Over at the UDS myspace, we named Butch Walker our shooting star of the week. I will be posting the entry here later.

So go out and play in the snow if you have it. If not I heard coconut shavings make a tasty substitute.

Don't let you hearts slip away...

- Clarissa

5 Show Countdown (Bogus Journey Style)
So my personal Bogus Journey has ended, and I'm kind of bummed. It was literally the best week so far for me. I got to see TAI and get out class which is always good. In return I'm going put up a small quick synopsis for each of the five shows. I'll try to keep it simple...

1) Clifton Park, NY (Northern Lights): First show. Got there early and almost wrecked the car. The people on line were definitely friendly and awesome. Some of you are even on LJ. First meet and greet. I got in as a guest accompanying Casi. It was freezing outside so I immediately try to warm up before the guys show up. Said hi to Tony got shot down because he didn't even look at us. Jack told us we only had so much time so to make it quick. Tony returns still sour and with a concealed bottle of some sort. TAI boys enter. Chizzy is lead over to us by Jack to put some space between the guys. He is definitely a sweetheart and gave me hope there might be a 1969 tour. Next was Butcher who it kind of got awkward with because I really didn't have anything to say. So I asked him if his artwork will be on sale and he said yes. Got a picture with Mike Carden. Love him to death, he's funny. Waited for Bill to get a picture with other girls since I don't like jumping in. Got a picture with Bill and totally missed Sisky Biz. It sucked. Got a hilarious picture with Jack the Camera Guy. Got on line for barrier. Ended up getting Carden side which I'm happy about. Took a bunch of pictures. Hey Monday was good. Not really into them. Carolina Liar = Love. We The Kings always great; Feel Good Inc...Hunter rapping...soo much fun. The Academy Is hands down awesome performance. Left with a TAI high, Mike's pick, Hey Monday set list, Twilight poster, and a Bogus Journey tour poster.

2) Philadelphia, PA (Electric Factory): Made it in one piece. Rained like cats and dogs. Almost froze to death. Met some cool girls from Jersey (repping NJ) and some from Philly. Brought the stockings we made for the guys but couldn't bring them in. Found out there was a table signing. Met the guys again. Chizzy apologized to us for us not being allowed to bring the stockings in. Laughed with Mike. Told Sisky I made his stocking. Told Butcher I put on a snowman on his and he said he likes snowmen. Casi gave Bill a note and not the OMG LOVE U kind. He said he's read it later after reassuring he wouldn't read it on stage. Bill and I didn't share much words and I got offline. Talked to Jack the Camera Guy about pushy security guards and the stockings. He announced there would be time for pictures and everyone mad dashed for their favorite guy. I didn't get any pictures since I was being lazy. I just stood in line for barrier. Then Jack had to collect the guys. Mike walked past me and put his hand on my back to get past me. He also waved by to us. Bill also walked passed us and kind of pushed Casi. It was a tight crowd of people. I waved to him and he grabbed my wrists trying to get my hands and said goodbye. He was close enough that I felt his breathe on my face. Intense. Got Chizzy side barrier in front of the cool Jersey girls. Got through the Hey Monday set. Sang with Carolina Liar. Jammed to We The Kings. Totally lost my mind for The Academy Is. Chizzy threw so many picks at me and I caught none. Bill threw his pick from his acoustic part at me and I didn't catch it. He made a sympathetic face. Picks I did catch or had handed to me: Hunter's and Chizzy's (handed to me).
Stole a WTK setlist, well half anyway. Had a Hey Monday set ripped off my arms which I didn't want but I did want my skin. Stood outside the buses for a bit where Carden came out and took a few pictures. Bill came out and totally peaced on the fans which was hilarious.

3) Hartford, CT (Webster Theatre): Found the venue. Did some assistance parallel parking. Saw Sisky smoking. Got on line with stockings in hand. Showed Jack the stockings and he was majorly excited. Stood in line for a while. Found out there was ANOTHER table signing. Met Sisky (for the 3rd time) first at the table. Gave him his stocking and he thanked us alot. Gave Chizzy his stocking and he got excited. He was happily we finally got them in. Gave Butcher his stocking after he tried to sign it for us. He gets into these real intense signing modes. Handed Mike his stocking after he thought only Butcher was getting one. Mike's laugh seriously makes the meet and greets. Then we gave Bill his stocking and he thanked us. Casi asked him if he read the note. He said he did then asked for her name. Then he thanked her for the note and how it meant alot to him. He said hey to me then gave me high five. BTW, Casi was wearing her Fangs Up color changing shirt. Bill was like, 'thats a volleyball' and we looked at him weird. Casi was like, 'uh its fangs up'. We didn't want to make him feel stupid but Bill was like, 'well they stole it from volleyball'.Priceless. Gave Jack his stocking and he thanked us. And no Jack we didn't give you chocolate coal because we couldn't take pictures. Anyway, got barrier again on Carden side. Met this other awesome girl newly from Jersey. Hey Monday's set. Carolina Liar did their thing. And I would just like to state that I am in love with Ricky (their smiley guitarist). Not more than Carden but he's up there. Saw We The King's and jammed. TRAVIS IS A RED HEAD! Got crazy for TAI. Bill left the stage twice and walked by us to climb back on the stage. At the end of the night my bladder hurt and there was nowhere to pee. TMI, I know I'm sorry.

4) Sayerville, NJ (Starland Ballroom): Showed up a little bit later then we usually do. Stood online. Saw a girl from the Philly show. Hung with the Jersey girl from the Hartford show. Asked Jack if there was a tabling signing. His words, 'Hell yes there is a table signing!'. Went to the table signing. Re-met Sisky and asked him if he liked his stocking. Apparently, he didn't notice we put a toy shark at the bottom. Chizzy said he liked my hat (well he kind of motioned it since WTK was soundchecking). Mike told me how he basically attacked the candy out of the stocking. He also kept shoving Butcher out of his chair. Mean Carden. Butcher and I made small talk. Bill recognized Casi and said it was nice seeing her again. He said hey to me and this is when I noticed the TWILIGHT book beside him. Someone gave Bill the book during the signing. So I proceeded to tell him not read it. Then he said he just wanted to see what it was all about. I told him I really didn't enjoy it and how Casi did. Then he told us he'd tell us how he liked it after he was done reading it. Thanks Bill. I sat in the back at this show. Too tired and knees were killing me. Enjoy the show a bit more since I wasn't being grated into barrier. Big shock: Jersey from Hey Monday is from Jersey. Didn't know that. I don't follow them much. Carolina Liar was awesome as usual. We The Kings made me smile. TRAVIS IS STILL A RED HEAD! The Academy Is played Down and Out! Huge favorite! Went to the diner after! Good night.

5) New York, NY (Roseland Ballroom): Took the bus to the city. Got a pretty good spot in line. Froze to death. Saw Ricky from Carolina Liar pass twice. Waved. Saw Jack and thawed out a bit. Got on line for SLH. Jack recognized us and told us there was a table signing. He knows how much we love those. (sarcasm). Sisky recognized us and wasn't all that surprised, then gave me a high five. Mike recognized us and gave me a high five. Butcher gave me a high five too (really don't know if he recognized us). I told Chizzy this was the last time he'd see us. He was like, aww well good your here tonight, it's going to be a good show. Said hi to Bill and got something else signed. (I have five autographed things). Weird thing with Bill, he put his hand out on the table. I was confused on whether he wanted a low five or handshake. So we sort of shook/held hands. I love awkward/hilarious moments with Bill. But he smiled genuinely and chatted us up. Then Casi and I hung back while everyone else got stuff signed. A few people made Bill look like he was bored to tears. It was funny. Also he made Jack have people back up twice since everyone was getting close and taking pictures. We chatted with Jack for a bit and I showed him my TEAM SISKA = TOTAL DOMINATION shirt. He thought it was awesome. Casi asked him how the chocolate coal tasted since apparently it choclate liqour. He told us it was too awesome to eat. Found out we could take pictures. Casi got a picture with Chizzy. She said this was our last show. He told her that he would miss her and to stay out of trouble. Funny thing, someone gave Chizzy a lion as a stuffed animal and he thought it was a monkey. Poor guy. We went over to Mike so Casi could get a picture. She asked him about the chocolate that looked like coal. He had eaten it and said it was like creamy creamy chocolate. Hearing Mike Carden say creamy twice is beyond amazing btw. He had also split some of his candy with Chris (their merch guy) which I thought was nice. Then he told us to ask Chizzy since Chizzy liked chocolate. But he tasted no chocolate liqour. Then we got Sisky and I showed him my shirt. He thought it was awesome and gave me high five. Then we got to Bill who we stood back for which gave us time to say goodbye to Jack. It was the last time we'd ask him if there was a table signing. He gave us hugs and told us he'd miss us. Finally, we got to Bill. Casi told him this is the last time he'd see us. Bill said not forever. So Casi was like 'you never know that'. Literally, Bill pull her into a hug and was like 'your right you never know'. Hilarious and sweet Bill. So after I took a picture of them I waved and said 'bye bill'. He was like 'bye sweetie' and hugged me. Then he was like, 'you guys are going to get barrier, right?'. Both of us were sick and were just going to hang back. So Casi told Bill that we'd try and he said that he would look for us. We both got barrier but I bailed after WTK because I was just over the whole barrier thing. Bill did see Casi though. Oh, and TAI played LAX to O' Hare.

All very good nights....

Random facts: I know love yelling Spencer's name at the top of my lungs like Scooter does when he checks the mic for WTK

I also love red heads.

Martin from BLG...hi

Bill isn't as tall as you think in person but you don't say it to his face!! Not a great conversation starter.

Swedish guys are sultry.

I took little no TAI pics. sorrry.

Hunter can rap. Fo sho.

Crew totally gets love too. I miss James and Mikey. Even though Spencer does a good sound job. SPENSAAAAH!

Pictures:

SLH group at Northern Lights

me and jack are silly

I attend a university with million other kids who aspire to be something. So usually we're hanging out in the dorm or around campus trying to keep busy.
The other day some lady knocked on the door wanting to get us to do a survey. I had been sleeping so I was drowsily answering some of her pre interview questions. She said she pay us about 30 bucks to answer some questions for an hour. It's free cash so Casi and I of course complied and we did this survey all about drugs and alcohol. It was pretty long and intense. The hour went by quick and we walked out thirty bucks richer.
In the end most of the money went to UnDiscovered Stars account but I can't complain it's for a good cause. The good cause being the business.
Later that day, we end up driving to a diner where we hung out for a good four hours. Just eating, hanging out, and laughing. The best thing is to go places with your friends and just be yourselves. Well, during that wonderful time in the diner Casi almost ripped my poor little head off. (We got awesome new wool hats with the string on both sides.) So she grabbed one of my strings and yanked it making a sickening cracking noise. It basically sounded like my neck snapped so I acted like she broke my neck for a good 15 minutes.
Tonight I want to go to Blockbuster and pick up some movies. Even though we have a impressive collection starting in the dorm.

Our little living room.

I'm going to go get some lunch now.

Later kiddes...

- Clarissa
It's November 4th aka Election Day.
Now I'm not going to write a whole essay about why you should vote or who you should vote for. I think everyone has had enough that. If you don't know by now well hell where have you been?
I'm just saying this is the first time I will be voting and I have to say I'm kind of excited. I don't care what other people say but I feel like my one vote to the million counts. Its empowering to feel like you've made a choice towards the history of your country. This isn't bullshit I'm spewing about this whole thing. It's my opinion and you really don't have to do read it if you don't agree.
That's the beauty of it.
You have a choice and a voice.
Now the question is what will you do with it?

Anyway, lets take a step away from this whole election. UnDiscovered Stars Clothing is starting a fundraiser program so we can get our shirts out their faster. Money makes the world go round. Sadly, nothing can get done if there isn't a little green in my pocket. So we're going through a list of ideas of things to sell to get our name out there and create some sort of profit. We were thinking cupcakes but you really can sell cupcakes online or in a college dorm since we're all broke. I'll keep you folk posted on our schemes.

Catch you later!

- Clarissa

<strike>Instead of sleeping through an hour long lecture and quiz</strike> I've decided to stay here in the dorm and make a post. Along with studying for the only midterm I will have this semester. Yay college! In other news, 3OH!3 will be playing the School of Rock East in Hackensack on Nov 20th. The same day Cobra Starship and Forever the Sickest Kids will be a few hours away playing at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville. Sadly enough, there was a dilemma with the Cobra show and we will not be attending. But since I live next to Hackensack I am definitely showing up at the 3OH!3 show. Hopefully, all is forgiven since I promise to make several appearances at the next Cobra tour. *crosses fingers*
Apart from band shows, we got food for the dorm yesterday and now I won't starve. Which reminds me of this shirt design that got spewed out a few days back...

I know I don't...

On the topic of money, I'm going to get back to making shirts and writing novels. Hopefully, something I does sells so I can afford to keep doing it.

'Cash rules everything around me'

- Clarissa

Apart from designing and producing shirts, Casi and I love to go to shows. Just look at all the earlier posts where I comment on the shows we've been too. So I figured I should give you a heads up on the tours we are going to be taking over this fall. For the moment we have only one huge tour in mind and its 'Bill and Trav's Bogus Journey Tour'. Last year, we were all Cobra oriented since their my favorite band so its only fair Casi gets her turn. She really likes The Academy Is so we will be seeing them a whopping FIVE times. Don't get me wrong I love The Academy Is... and will be super excited the entire week we're going to be out seeing them. But I'm wincing at the fact that I will probably be the sorest I've ever been.

Who cares though, right? I'm going to have an insane amount of fun. Look out for me I'll be the tall hispanic girl butchering songs because she's tone deaf. ANYWAY, TAI isn't the only band on tour. There is our boys from FL, We The Kings. Along with Carolina Liar and Hey Monday. This will be like the sixth time I'm seeing We The Kings because those boys are everywhere. I'm not complaining I love their music and they are goodlooking boys. But this wil be the first time I'm ever seeing Carolina Liar and Hey Monday. But I'm not worried since if their touring with TAI and WTK, their probably really good live. I can wait!!

The dates we will be at are: November 11th, 13th, 14th, 15th, and 19th!

After that who knows who we will be seeing or what we'll be doing.

PS: Casi bought the movie that inspired the tour (Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey) at Target along with Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure for cheap. So if you wanted to see them Target has both in a sort of two for one deal. Unforetunately, I bought 'Excellent Adventure' at FYE earlier so its kind of too late for me to reap in the cheap benefits.

PSS: Their hilariously great movies!! Get them. If not for the tour then for your own amusement.

Later Dudes..

-Clarissa
It's been a while since I've been around here with any new news. Well, guess what now I have some so I'm going to share. Recently, we did a poll at our school featuring the first eight shirts that we were interested in making. We broke them down into two categories:

Biz Promo Shirts:

The text says: The best stars are the uncharted ones...

Stamp print shirt

(These are the two out of four that we asked people to choose from.)

The next category was our regular shirt designs:

(Three out of the four designs.)

Well, people chose the 'Jersey Scene' shirt and the white 'Uncharted Stars' shirt as their favorites. So we decided after a landslide between both shirts that those are the first ones being put into print. Exciting! We have more designs and ideas but your going have to bear with us. In other news, there is now an official UnDiscovered Stars account so we can start a PayPal. Along with the fact yesterday we sent in an email to our shirt printing company to get a quote on how much all of this is going to cost.

Soon enough we will all have UnDiscovered Stars gear on! What a fine day that will be!

    <lj:music>Mo Money Mo Problems - Notorious BIG</lj:music>

Our last show of the summer came in the shape of five adorably good looking boys around the age of nineteen riding up in a white van. Seeing The Cab for the fourth time was like a capstone on my summer and a full circle for Casi and I. We saw them earlier in the year with Cobra, WTK, and Metro Station...who didn't? (For shame, it was awesome.) Anyways, that was before UnDiscovered Stars started so to see how far we've come was truly an eye-opener.
But back to the show...
The first band up was The Morning Light who I wasn't really familiar with until I saw them on the lineup. (I'm sorry, to all you Morning Light fans. I really need to get up on new music.) They were really good like I wanted to go out and buy anything they ever put out good. I was seriously impressed and immediately became a fan of their music. Thank you The Morning Light for an amazing opener to a great night. Also, it was one of their members birthday that night so..YAY! So now I own their music and love listening to it because the vocalist is so schweet. (Schweet = awesome. Casi is going to get on me for that later, I feel it.)
Next, in the show was Steel Train! Another amazing group who I felt kind of band for not discovering earlier. (But that was unDiscovered Stars is all about.) If you haven't seen these guys play or heard of them....download something by them. It's definitely good music. (If you don't, I won't hold it against you. I still love you.) But yeah, Steel Train has such a great sound and they really have a stage prescene. That's keen because I tend to wander off. Any who...good band, good music...and apparently their from Jersey. I don't need to tell you because many of you know we're from Jersey (if you didn't well, hey..now you know) but I love Jersey artists. Love them. It's not like I don't listen to bands outside of Jersey (also loves Chicago bands...) or don't love bands who aren't Jersey raised. But when an artist is from Jersey there is an awesome chance you've been to same places and have had the same experiences. Plus, the fact someone has made it from your state. I have crazy Jersey pride but I won't fight you if you say something bad about Jersey. I have come to terms with the fact it isn't all that great.
Sorry, see I tend to wander...
The Cab! The Cab played after Steel Train...and it was all that I hoped it would be. It was a crazy good time. I got to stand right in front of Ian's MAD guitar skills where he proceeded to melt my face. Casi also was in the prime Singer zone since he touched her many of times and tried to pull her on stage. (Sidenote: What is with the counting down to clapping Cash? I'm sure we can clap when you clap without a countdown.) One thing, what is with not playing One of THOSE Nights at the shows I go to. It sucks. I want to hear it live. I want to experience it. But all in all, The Cab did the damn thing as always.
BTW, CFOB...seriously...am I going to have to deal with you every time I see an FBR or Wentz affliated band. You don't need to recruit me to make me vote. Gosh. (For those of you who don't know what CFOB is...your safe for now.)
And sadly, thats where my show review ends. I didn't watch The Hush Sound play...I wanted to but I was fucking tired and sick. Plus, I haven't been hooked into their music just yet. I'm always looking for new music so I will take a listen (since the only song I know from them is WIne Red and it's the remix...don't judge me) and see if it's my cup of tea.
That is my update, for now...next show is Every Avenue and The Friday Night Boys. September 19th. School of Rock East.
If I can't go I will be highly upset...

PS: The Hush Sound guys are SOO fucking nice and approachable. The drummer and the guitarist (Bob?), sorry I don't know their names and am to lazy to look it up. Anyway, I was standing in line glancing around mindlessly when both walked by. They smiled at me and Bob said hi and the drummer waved. Love em. Thanks for being nice even though I missed your set. Sorry.
PSS: Vote?...that was my attempt to change the world...I'm done.

- Always yours, Clarissa

As the summer fades away into nothing but a sweaty memory under your collar, you start to get your bearings and think 'fuck, I'm going back to school'. All the shows, trips, vacations, and parties are now just an awesome memory to catalog. If you didn't live up your summer well there is next summer and if you did well, hats off to you. Most of my summer was, well ,amazing and I did some pretty outregous things...like roadtrip to Buffalo. But now the school year is beginning and everyone is either off to work or school. Whose to say though that the party has to end here. Not only the summer is meant for memories so I'm urging everyone to try to make some in the fall. Even though it will start getting colder and not all your friends might be in the same place...make new friends, party indoors, go jump in a leaf pile.
UnDiscovered Stars is going to attempt make some big memories this fall too. The shirts have to get made, sold, and we have self-promote like never before. But not only the clothing line is going to be great. The production company is going to attempt to make it's first movie. We have to get something else out there so lookout for our other projects. We're shooting for the stars here people so it's going to take a big leap.
Whatever happens this is history in the making.
We refuse not to shine..

- Clarissa

PS: This is a catalog of unforeseen events.

So I've been alive for 19 years and I just have to say its been pretty damn awesome. Even though in the earlier years I was kind of skeptic about aging, I have to say now I'm not so worried. Times were rough don't get me wrong. But bad times don't make your whole life and even if it seems grim don't give up. Don't get down on yourself. I may be the more nonchalant one in this team but sometimes thats how you have to live life.
